All wheels are precisely matched to the vehicle in terms of load and dimensions. Before the light-alloy wheels are allowed to be a safe companion on all tours, they undergo an extensive development and testing programme. Each wheel design must pass a variety of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real-life challenges in road traffic as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Bright turned wheels survive additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change programme. Only after all tests have been passed are the wheels allowed to be included in the range as Genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
