The Volkswagen Compact II bike carrier is a high-quality, foldable towbar carrier and impresses with its light weight of just 14kg. The carrier is specially designed for transporting two bicycles (max. 60kg).

The genuine VW Compact II bike carrier features an ingenious folding system: the rear lights, bike rails and carrier frame can be completely folded away, allowing the carrier to be stowed in the boot to save space. An integrated foot switch makes it easy to fold down - even when the carrier is loaded - and ensures easy access to the boot at all times. The automatic locking mechanism when folding up provides additional safety. With a wheel rail width of approx. 55 mm, a rail spacing of 22 cm and a tensionable frame profile of Ø 80×45 mm, the rack is suitable for bikes with a wheelbase of up to 125 cm. The scope of delivery includes the bike rack itself, lockable frame holders and a practical transport bag for safe and careful storage.

The carrier is only suitable for towbars with a ball head diameter of 50 mm and cannot be combined with aluminium ball heads.

It is also approved for vehicles with a Fix4Bike trailer hitch (AHV).

To avoid damage to the vehicle, it may be necessary to turn the bicycle handlebar by 90° to ensure sufficient clearance between the bicycle and the vehicle.

Please note: On vehicles such as the VW T5, T6 and Caddy, it is not possible to open the tailgate when the carrier is fitted.
